  • Cania Gorge Tourist Retreat is renowned for its peace and quiet, giving you the opportunity to really connect with nature.

Our park is the start for a great holiday or stay. We offer spacious and well-grassed sites (powered and unpowered) as well as comfortable cabins. Hosts, Tony & Marie, are happy to welcome you and assist you whenever needed. They also know everything about the walks and drives for exploring Cania Gorge National Park and surroundings. Choose your site, set up and start exploring! Our park is a campsite and not a theme park, so when you return to the campsite from an exciting day exploring Cania Gorge National Park you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature. When the sun goes down, relax and meet other campers at our community campfire.

The Retreat is renowned for its unique location (at the entrance of Cania Gorge National Park) and has a friendly atmosphere. There is always time for a chat and we do our best to make your stay a pleasant one. We are very proud of our park and care for it accordingly and are continuously upgrading it.

Cania Gorge Tourist Retreat opened for business on 1st January 2002 and is a small family run business. We (Tony & Marie and our son Warren ) arrived from Normanton where we own Normanton tourist park and the Gulfland motel and Caravan park and took over the business on 22 of October 2014. We travelled a lot ourselves and always wanted to run a caravan park, where we could meet travellers from all over the world.

We hope to see you soon!
