Eight hours’ drive from Roma is a small town called Windorah – where the mighty Cooper flows, the yellowbelly are great and the sandhills are huge. Windorah is a great place for overnight stopovers, with the famous Birdsville Pub a comfortable drive the next day.

Cooper Cabins offer you fully self-contained cabins with a barbecue area, which is a great place for you to watch the magnificent sunsets before the stars come out – something city folk don’t get to see a lot of.
