  • We personally understand the attraction to the unique holiday of houseboating. The experience and lasting memories made with dear friends and family on the Murray River, SA will have you returning again and again.

With a fleet of 9 ranging in size, affordability and style we aim to cater for all. Regardless the needs of your crew, all get to relax to the sounds of water lapping against the side of your houseboat. Whether your bird watching, bush walking or skiing choose to holiday in the peaceful with Riverfun Houseboats.

    Why Renmark
Why travel to Renmark/Paringa to board a houseboat? The answer is simple. It’s a fantastic part of the river; Let me explain – as you depart on your holiday heading upstream from Paringa, you’ll pass under the historic Paringa Bridge which is raised (for the top deck boats) and all the traffic is stopped while they gaze with envy as you cruise the mighty Murray.

As you wander through the township of Renmark, the enchanting PS Industry paddle steamer will likely be tied up to the town wharf with the ‘art deco’ Renmark Hotel as a backdrop. You can stop at the town wharf as it is ‘houseboat friendly’ and walk through town to shop or dine at the hotel (the meals are great). As you turn the corner, bidding farewell to Renmark to start one of the most peaceful and tranquil holidays of your life. Just around a few bends, you are in a wonderful bird sanctuary unspoiled by shacks and heavy river traffic, where at night it is easy picking your perfect spot for the evening.

As you rise from your sleepful night on the river, if you are still cruising upstream you will see magnificent cliffs and sandy beaches as you pass by headings on your way to places like Wilkadene Brewery, Chowila Station, Chowila Creek and onto lock 6. Passage through the lock is a new experience for some and what awaits you the other side is more of the beautiful river as you can wander into Victoria.
